Marine Applications Retrofit Project

This project involved the comprehensive retrofit of salvage floating cranes in the marine industry, encompassing the following key activities:

• Development of a detailed project schedule and risk register for effective control and mitigation.
• Execution of pre-commissioning measurements for motors and PLC I/O lists to ensure system readiness.
• Tuning and testing of friction and storage winches for optimal performance.
• DC bus capacitor reforming for ACS880 AC drives powering anchor mooring motors.
• Retrofitting and commissioning LV rotor starters for propeller operations.
• Conducting site acceptance tests, including:
  • Propeller operation validation.
  • Anchor dropping performance.
  • Crane load testing in accordance with OEM procedures and DNVGL standards.

The project was successfully completed, meeting all operational and regulatory requirements while ensuring reliability and compliance.
